Billy Wayne Leep began his journey in life on December 11th, 1939 in Cookson, OK, the son of Buster and Ethel (Couch) Leep. He was raised among six siblings, three brothers, JB, Johnny and Arthur and three sisters, Beatrice, Jerrie and Carol. Shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served our country almost 3 years before his honorable discharge on December 4th, 1963. He would go onto work thirty six years as a forklift operator for Whirlpool. One of his biggest blessings in life was his wife, Regenia (Byers) Leep. They were wed in December of 1981 in Tahlequah, OK and shared over 31 years of memories and experiences before Regenia’s passing in 2013. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to take in the fresh air and work in the garden. If he did get out, it was usually to the movies. His most favorite past time of all was reading, he could be found sneaking off to his favorite spot in the library diving deep into the books he loved, he was particularly fond of books on the World Wars and suspense. Even when reading became a challenge, he took up audio books and could be found listening often. His health began to fail, Billy was called from his labors on August 28th, 2022 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 82 years old.
Those that have gone on before him include his parents, his wife, Regenia Leep, three brothers, JB Leep, Johnny Leep, and Arthur Leep and two sisters, Beatrice Leep and Jerrie McCoy.
His memory lives on through his daughters, Connie Duncan of Muskogee, OK and step-daughter, Terri Squyres of Tahlequah, OK and one sister, Carol Teague of Missouri. He leaves four grandchildren, Nikki Duncan of Muskogee, OK, Colton Squyres of Cave Springs, AR, Joe Lee Squyres of Tahlequah, OK and Justin Duncan of Eugene, OR and one great grandchild, Charles Duncan of Eugene, OR along with many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
