Billie Sue Hathcoat was born on November 28th, 1944 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of John and Willie Mae (Post) Hathcoat. She grew up, one of five children, with two brothers, Johnny Lee and Floyd, and two sisters, Callie and Maudie. Her daughter Stevey was the joy of her life and she always said she did one thing right, had a good daughter that spoiled her mother. Billie always lived as her father taught her, “We take care of our own.” When she was younger, she enjoyed seeing nature from the back of a horse or playing a game of softball. She was an animal person at heart and loved her pets dearly. She had many friends and loved to visit with them. Her sense of humor was huge and she loved cutting up whenever she got the chance. She taught DUI School after she retired from Bill Willis, and she loved meeting new people there. She was a great influence on the young people she had in class, many of whom she kept in contact with. Billie Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Billie Sue passed from this life on October 17th, 2019 in Park Hill, OK at the age of 74.
Billie is preceded in death by her parents, and both of her brothers, Johnny Lee Hathcoat and Floyd Hathcoat.
Those left to treasure her memory include her daughter, Stephanie Hathcoat and husband Dalyn Yon of Park Hill, OK, her sisters, Callie Hathcoat of Park Hill and Maudie Cascale and husband Barry of Tahlequah, OK. She also leaves behind one granddaughter, Savannah Yon of Park Hill, OK, nephew Jeremy Ketcher, great nephews Jake and Justin Ketcher as well as many other nieces, nephews and a host of friends too numerous to mention.
