He married his beloved wife, Beatrice, on June 16, 1965, and they had two children, Paula and Benjamin. William was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from June 27, 1969 to January 20, 1971. Shortly after his discharge, he graduated second in his class at the Hospital Corpsman A School on February 28, 1974, after which, he proudly served in the United States Navy until August 26, 1976. He especially enjoyed his service while stationed in Alaska and Corpus Christie, TX. He spent many years working as a carpenter. William was known for his love of fishing, hunting, and gardening. He will be remembered for his sarcasm, dry sense of humor and his kind heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
