Benny Albert Smith

Benny Albert Smith, 74, passed away on February 20, 2021. He was laid to rest with military honors at Park Hill Cemetery next to his parents. Benny was born in Tahlequah, OK on August 28, 1946 to the late Ruby and Jeff Smith. Benny was a lifelong resident of Tahlequah, OK.

He graduated from Northeastern State University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed and retired from the Walmart Corporation. He was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents Ruby A. (Dallis) Smith, Jeff Smith, and brother Jerry Smith. He is survived by Patricia Smith, sister-in-law, of Goldsboro, NC. He is also survived by one niece Michele and husband Jeffrey Johnson of Garner, NC, two nephews Christopher and wife Samantha of Alpharetta, GA, Kevin and wife Shannon of Ayden, NC and several great nieces and nephews.

In Benny’s memory, contributions can be given to St Brigid Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Habitat for Humanity.
