Anna Marie Floyd was born on June 15th, 1969 in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Dewitte Franklin and Gayle Lane (Settlemyre) Floyd III. She graduated from Tahlequah High School and then decided to attend college and become an Accountant. This was her job with the Cherokee Nation for years. She was the warm and inviting face that made you feel like you were talking to an old friend, always cheerful and wanting to make you smile. She was proud of her heritage and loved helping the Cherokee People in any capacity she could. She loved her children and was the proud Mama of four children, Ricky, Robbin, Rhonda and Anna Dawn. She was a devout Christian and a Baptist by faith. She loved the Lord and served Him all of her days, staying active in church, singing good gospel music, studying her Bible, teaching Sunday School, and helping to feed the hungry. Anna made the best Spanish dishes and her pies were legendary. She was often asked to teach others to bake like she did. Spare time was spent going to garage sales spending time with her children, granddaughter and family, and reading a good romance or Western novel. She enjoyed a trip to the casino or playing Bingo! When it came to animals, there was nothing she loved more than her furry babies, and they knew she adored them. She had the ability to bring out the best in people, its probably they knew how much she cared. Her health began to fade and she passed from this life on May 3rd, 2022 at her home in Welling, OK. She was 52 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, one daughter, Anna Dawn Wofford, and several aunts and uncles.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ricky Wofford of Tahlequah, OK, Robbin Wofford and companion Rocky Gritts of Welling, OK, and Rhonda Wofford of Ponca City, OK. She leaves her brother, Dewitte Franklin Floyd IV and an honorary sister, Rhonda fields-Belcher of Tahlequah. She lives on in her granddaughter, Abigail May Wofford Deerinwater of Welling, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
