Manuel Hernandez Guzman Sr.

Manuel was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Santos Guzman; his twin babies, Jose & Maria Guzman; son, Manuel Guzman, Jr.; his son-in-law Victor Cortinas, Jr.; his grandson Ruben Torres, Jr. and all his siblings.

Manuel leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Maria Alicia (Silvestre) Garcia from Taft, Texas, Florinda Cortinas from Universal City, Texas, Josie (Ruben) Torres from Big Springs, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Public visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Taft, Texas. Interment will follow at Taft Memorial Park.
