Jose Angel Aldape, 66, of Taft, Texas passed away October 10, 2017. He was born in St. Sandoval, Tamps., Mexico on December 11, 1950. He married Martha Aldape on October 20, 1973. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Army from September 1970 until he was honorably discharged at the rank of SP4 in January 1972. Jose had a career as a welder for Brown and Root until he retired. He is survived by his wife, Martha Aldape; children, Jeanette Campos, Jose Angel Aldape Jr., Gina Sanchez and Angel Aldape; Grandchildren, Kassandra Campos, Alyssa Campos, Alexis Aldape, Nicole Gabriella Aldape, Mariah Natalie Aldape, Jose Aldape, Briana Aldape, Jonathan Aldape, Alyssa Aldape, Romeo Aldape, Ricky Sanchez, and Ethan Sanchez; brothers and sisters, Bernardo Aldape Jr., Sonia Aldape, Oscar Aldape, Irma Garza, Ismael Aldape, Enedelia Olivarez, Esmeralda Lopez and Cynthia Bullock. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Taft Memorial Park.
