Jesus P. Moreno Jr.

Jesus P. Moreno Jr. of Taft, Texas passed away January 1, 2017, he was 62. He was born March 29, 1954 in Sinton, Texas to Jesus Moreno and Evencia Pardo Moreno. He was a lifelong Taft resident and a retired contractor. Jesus was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and the outdoors.

Jesus was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Moreno, mother, Evencia Pardo Moreno and a brother, Joe Moreno. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Roque Moreno; son, Bobby (Alicia) Moreno; two daughters, Jennifer (Jose) Moreno and Molly (Eusebio) Moreno-Botello; eleven grandchildren, Jena Moreno, Gino Moreno, Deja Moreno, Kano Moreno, Diego Moreno, Carlos Gutierrez, Daniel Vela Jr., Gabriella Acosta, Alyssa Botello, Natalie Botello and Eusebio Botello IV; brother, Lupe (Alma) Moreno; two sisters, Betty Moreno and Josie Jaime, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 204 N. Meyer, Taft, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at The Palms Memorial Gardens.
