Francisco Casiano, 93, passed away at his home on Friday, August 1, 2014. He was born on May 11, 1921, to Cleto and Camilla Casiano in Taft, Texas. Francisco was a veteran of WW II . He served in the United States Army and Air Force Reserve and was decorated with two Purple Hearts and various other medals. He retired from CCAD after thirty-five years of service and continued his career with La Quinta and The Hershey Hotel as Banquet Manager.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of sixty-two years, Antonia Casiano. PaPo, as he was lovingly called by his family, is survived by his daughters, Graciela (Carlos) Gonzalez, Criselda (Fidel) Cortez and Idolina (Felipe) Torres; his sons, Frank, Jr. (Graciela) and Edward (Oralia); twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Taft Memorial Park.
The family extends a heartfelt “Thank You” to the nurses at Christus Spohn and Atlus Hospice for all the loving care PaPo received during his short illness.
