Vincent A. Mazza, 86, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at the Syracuse Home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mazza was a native of Liverpool. As a decorated WWII Army Airborne Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, Mr. Mazza was in the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Varsity, the airborne assault on the Rhineland. After the war, Mr. Mazza returned home and along with his two brothers Sam and Frank founded a successful business called Mazza Brothers Builders. Mazza Brothers was widely known for quality residential construction, having built homes throughout the area for over 20 years. In 1972 Mr. Mazza joined OnBank and later became a Vice President of the bank’s loan division until his retirement. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Mazza; daughter, Mary Mazza; sons, James (Rose) Mazza of Liverpool, Paul (Diane) Mazza of Liverpool and Philip (Kim) Mazza of Baldwinsville; sisters, Gertrude Plume of Syracuse, Yolanda Corso of Liverpool and Rose Marie Mazza of Liverpool; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial were held. Pirro & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
