I couldn't believe when I read about Tommy's passing.  He was my first boyfriend in kindergarten at Our Lady of Pompei.  I chased him around the  play ground trying to kiss him. He was the cutest boy in school.  Later on I found out my husband went to CBA with him. He couldn't say enough good things about Tom. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Uncle Tom, Aunt Jean and the entire Gigantelli family- I am so sorry to hear about Tommy. I remember his smiles from when we were kids.  My heart is with you.

It was an honor to attend the Memorial mass today for Tom.  We became good friends during college, and it was evident even back then how much he adored his family. Seeing all of you together today, caring for each other, it's easy to see why. His nephew really captured Tom's beautiful heart and personality when he spoke about him in church. Oops, I got it wrong, our teacher was Sister Mary DELPHINE!  I spoke to her this morning and she was SOOO SAD to hear the news!  Also, my father Dr. Cannella and Tommy's dad Dr. Gigantelli were colleagues at St Joe's many years ago.  I remember all the Christmas cards we exchanged, seeing all the Gigantelli kids lined up in photos...and our days at OLP! I wish I could go to the mass, but working!  My mother will be there in my place with a picture of our kindergarden graduation. So many long ago memories...and sad to have lost touch over the years.

Sorry for your loss. Tommy was fun guy to be around. Never heard him say an angry word. Sad to lose him so soon.

What a terrible loss.  way too soon.  Tommy and i were great friends in grammar school.  i haven't seen him in a while, but he always had that warm, engaging smile. Godspeed my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the Gigantelli family. You lost a good man, son, brother, and father. Those of us that knew him understand how much he will be missed. Distance is a poor excuse for not keeping a relationship intact. This did not matter to Tom.

He loved all of us that entered his life, if only for a brief moment. That is his legacy, and we should all be honored to have shared those moments with him. 

Tom and I were good friends. We shared a bond most of us have with the people we love. It's called a blessing.

He made a difference in my life. Not a day goes by without a thought, memory, or expression that brings me back to our times together.

He has left a part of himself in me. For that, I will always be greatful.

Gone, but never forgotten. Not in my life time, and I hope never in yours.
