Robert M. Dixon Sr.

Robert M. Dixon, Sr., 60, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday at his home. He was a life resident of Syracuse and was presently employed by National Grid as a security guard. Mr. Dixon was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Central New York Chapter# 103. He also was a past member of the Lakeside Fire Department and presently a member of the Special Deputy Unit. Predeceased by his brothers, Gary and Michael Dixon.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Kathryn; daughter, Katrina Dixon; sons, Scott Dixon, Robert (Tiffany) Dixon, Jr. and Michael Dixon all of Syracuse; sisters, Sharon (Klaus) Biederman of Bridgeport, Linda Northrup of Rome, Barbara (Paul) Grad of PA, Nancy Modugno and Patricia (James) Collins both of Syracuse; brothers, William Dixon of Syracuse and Timothy (Alice) Dixon of Constantia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday 8:15 a.m. at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church. Burial will follow in Constantia Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Central New York Chapter# 103, P.O. Box 675
