Rita M. Titone

Rita (Shatraw) Titone, 63, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday. Born in Herrings, New York, she resided in Syracuse for 46 years. Rita retired from the Syracuse City School District and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; her pride and joy. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Shatraw and Arthur Shatraw; and her sister, Leona Kamide.

Rita is survived by her husband, Frank; three daughters, Carrie (Matthew) Lantzy of Jacksonville, FL, Jennifer Titone and Christine (Mitchell) Smith, both of Syracuse; one son, Frank Titone, Jr. of Syracuse; grandchildren, Craig Titone, Rylee Smith, Braydon Smith, and Eva Lantzy; sisters, Mary Whipple, Delta Chartrand, and June (Peter) Vercillo, all of Syracuse; sisters-in-law, Marleen and Susan Shatraw and Gloria (Peter) Sciortino; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 9:45 A.M. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
