Patricia Allen DiBello, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at home peacefully after a long illness. Born in Malone, New York, she resided in Syracuse for 60 years. Patricia was a former employee of Flah’s Department Store before devoting her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. A devout catholic, she was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church where she was involved in many activities and societies including, Altar & Rosary, Human Development, and ran the Food Pantry for over 25 years. Patricia and her husband were awarded the 2012 Immaculata Award for her volunteer work at St. John the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Peter C. DiBello; children, Michael DiBello of Oswego, Odetta DiBello of Mattydale, and Marijean (Joe) Mehlek of Clay; uncle, Elwood Perry of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Julia DiBello of Syracuse; grandchildren, Peter, Jimmy, and Christopher; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 9:30 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
