

Nicholas F. Passarelli, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Iroquois Nursing Home. A life resident of Syracuse, he retired from G.E. after 35 years. After retirement, Nick devoted his time towards caring for his wife Anna. A communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, he was a former Usher at the Civic Center and Landmark Theater. Also, Nick had volunteered many hours through different organizations. A veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Wendy Lu Schopfer Passarelli in 2003.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Mae (Lanza) Passarelli; one son, Michael Passarelli of Syracuse; three daughters, Anne Harrell of Cicero, Jean (Myron) Tkacz of Syracuse, and JoAnn (Terry) Esposito of Cicero; and five grandchildren, Crystal and Nikki Harrell, Alex and Carrie Tkacz, and Michael Passarelli, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 8:15 a.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.

The family would like to thank the staff at Iroquois Nursing Home for their love and care toward Nick during his time there.
