Maria Gentile

Maria Gentile, 57, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2013, after a brief illness. This date was also her father's birthday. She was surrounded by family and friends. Maria was born in Syracuse, NY and resided in Jamesville. She is predeceased by her parents, Sebastian and Harriet Gentile, and survived by her two brothers, Thomas Gentile and Florian Gentile, both of Syracuse.

Maria will always be remembered for her heartwarming smile and affection toward others. She had a big heart and loved being around people which was a perfect match for her outgoing personality. Maria enjoyed many activities including decorating for holidays (Halloween was her favorite!), parties, bowling, dancing and traveling to Florida each year.

Maria will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Services will be held this Thursday, February 14th, at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse, NY 13208. Calling hour will be from 10:00am-11:00am with a memorial service at 11:00am. Procession to Assumption Cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's name to the CNY SPCA.
