Mabel Hyatt

Mabel Davis Hyatt, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Verplank, New York, she resided in Syracuse for over 60 years. Mabel was an honor graduate of Bayridge High School and also a graduate of Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Later on in her life, she achieved an educational degree in art from Syracuse University. Mabel served as a Chaplin for the Reserved Officers Association of America. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis B. Hyatt in 1983 and her infant daughter, Angela Mary Davis in 1963.

Mabel is survived by her son, Harry “Skip” (Marilyn) Davis of Liverpool; daughter, Elise Kaegi of Switzerland; sister, Judith Allen of Palo Alto, CA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 12 noon at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
