Elaine M. Spear

Elaine M. (Misita) Spear, 62, of Rock Hill, NY, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her husband, John and her daughter, Victoria Spear. Born in Syracuse, Elaine was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and the late Mary A. Misita.

Elaine is survived by two sons, Thomas of Woodbourne, NY and David of Rock Hill; one daughter, Gina (Pete) Kolaitis of New Port Richey, FL; grandson, Adyn also of FL; brother, Leo (Nancy) Misita of Smyrna, GA; two sisters, Marcia (Butch) Robbins and Mary Anne (Daniel) Patnode, both of Liverpool; many nieces and nephews. Elaine will always be remembered for her loving and giving spirit towards everyone and everything she encountered. She adored her husband and children and her grandson who brought her unending joy. Family gatherings were always special to her and she always enjoyed her time with others either through work or simply socializing. Her battle was long and her will to fight was undaunting. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 9:30 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
