Edna L. Kinsey, 67, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Olar, South Carolina, she resided in Syracuse since 1960. Edna retired as Co-Owner/Operator of Jackson Coiffures for 35 years and also retired from Upstate Medical University. Mrs. Kinsey was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, an Usher with North Eastern District Baptist Association, and a member of Rejoicing Voices. Predeceased by her husband, Paul Kinsey in 2003.
Edna is survived by three daughters, Deborah Williams of Syracuse, Pamela (Ronnie, Sr.) Legette of Richmond, and Petita (Kwamen) Morris of Syracuse; two sons, Paul (Michelle) Kinsey and Lee (Diane) Glover, both of Syracuse; sisters, Johnnie Hill-Marsh and Beverly (David, Sr.) Baines, both of Syracuse; brothers, Israel Orr, Timothy Orr, Thomas Breland, and Kym’ Orr (Esther) of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kinsey; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be private.
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
