Peter Fauci III of Oyster Bay New York entered eternal life May 19th, 2022. Peter was born in Brooklyn New York to parents Peter and Louise (nee Scotto). Also survived by his stepfather Ronald DeVito and by three children Peter Christopher, Katherine Elizabeth and Joseph Allen. Dear brother to Michael, Cynthia and Alison DeVito and Lawrence DeVito.
Peter studied 4 years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on stress on structures. He was recruited from R.P.I. by Grumman and was assigned to work on the very first space shuttle – Columbia. This started his career in the Aero Space Industry. He worked as a contracted engineer for Northrop, McDonald Douglas, Boeing, TRW, United Technologies, Gulfstream and other companies where he became the lead engineer on all of his assignments. Some of his assignments included work on the F18 fighter jet, Boeing 777, the space satellites for TRW, the Stealth Bomber and many other types of aircraft.
Peter was a devoted father to his three children and always looked forward to taking them on extended trips where they loved to explore the land and nature. His passion was to go fishing and usually carried a fishing pole in his car just in case he saw a body of water during one of his adventures. His other hobby was golf and enjoyed golfing with his brother Michael, his son Peter and many friends.
Being a devout Christian, Peter had a generous, kind and giving nature. He was readily available to help anyone he saw in distress and gave up his time to help and give advice to those who were going through a difficult period in their lives.
Peter was loved by many and he will be truly and deeply missed.
God rest his soul and give him salvation.
