Juliane (Robba) Capone, 78, of Woodbury, New York, after a brief battle with pnuemonia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Benilde (Dagna) Robba, and sister, Rose Silvestrone. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Carmine Thomas, sons Tom (Annie) Capone and Dan Capone. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren: Ryan Capone and Julia Capone; brother Arnie Robba, and several nieces and nephews.
Juliane was born on December 20, 1943 in Mineola, New York. She graduated from Mineola High School (1961) and The College of St. Rose (1965). She earned her master's degree in social work from Adelphi University in 1985. She worked as a social worker for Southeast Nassau Guidance Center and in private practice for over 20 years while courageously battling multiple sclerosis. She lived life lovingly and courageously. We thank God for her qualities & strengths that endeared her to us; her vulnerability, her ability to communicate warmth and compassion, and her smile that lit up a room. Her beauty, both internal and external, will remain in our hearts forever.
Juliane was a parishioner of St. Edwards Church, Syosset, and a longtime former member of St. Pius Church, Plainview.
She will be deeply missed.
