It is with great sorrow to announce that John J. Broderick of Syosset, NY peacefully passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jane, 11 children and 23 grandchildren. John was born in the Bronx on April 6, 1937, to his parents John and Lorretta. He was raised in Bayside along with his six siblings. He received his bachelor's degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. He was a reservist for the United States Marine Corps during the 1960's. He was a private practice attorney for over 50 years, including extensive pro bono work defending the right to life. Wake services will be this Friday at Beney Funeral Home in Syosset from 5-9pm. A funeral mass will be at St. Edward Confessor RC Church in Syosset (where he was a dedicated parishioner for over 50 years) this Saturday at 9:45am, followed by a Catholic burial at the Queen of Peace Cemetery in Old Westbury.
