SYLVANIA, GA - Mr. William Albert "Perk" Perkins, III, 72, of Sylvania, died Saturday morning, September 13, 2014, at his home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and his loving family. Mr. Perkins was born September 20, 1941, in Palo Alto, California to Muriel Stille Perkins and the late William Albert Perkins, II. He was a pharmacist at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto for 22 years and at the Effingham County Hospital, Springfield, GA, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a Christian and worked with the Robbins Grits Mill with other members of his family for many years.
Survivors include: His Wife, Bernice Harriette Robbins Perkins of Sylvania, A Daughter and Son-in-Law, Michelle Lee and Rodger Wright Harmon of Tracy California, His Mother, Muriel Stille Perkins of Los Altos, California, A Sister, Julie Bennett of Palo Alto, Nephews and Nieces, John Bennett of Foster City, CA, Olivia Brennan and Karl Loos of Sylvania, Kathy Brennan of Atlanta, Many Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews, and a Brother-in-Law, Joseph P. Brennan of Beaufort, SC.
A graveside memorial service for Mr. Perkins has been planned for Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Middle Ground Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 PM. After the service, there will be remembrances and coffee in the Social Hall.
The Family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Salvation Army.
