Susan "Susie" Amanda Oglesby

Sylvania – Susan “Susie” Amanda Oglesby, age 56, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro. She was born in Screven County, GA and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church. She attended Screven Co. Service Center (Wee Care Center) where she was one of the first students. She loved to work word puzzles and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her Father: Neal “Bully” Oglesby; Aunt: Millie M. Barnwell.

Survivors: Mother: Johnnie Mock Oglesby of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Joseph Neal & Renee Oglesby of Sylvania; Nephews: Josh & Kim Oglesby and Tyler Oglesby, Great-Nephews, Riley Oglesby and Cason Oglesby, all of Sylvania.

Visitation: Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Thursday, October 22, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jack Gatlin and Rev. Roan Powell officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Vince Thompson, Keith Oglesby, Hunter Oglesby, Mike Thompson, Brian Thompson, Philip Ayers, Michael McBride and Steve Johnson.
