Ronald Aubrey Ward

Sylvania –Ronald Aubrey “Ronnie” Ward, age 79, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Charlie Ausier & Sara Alice Forehand Ward and was a founding member of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Sylvania where he was a deacon and trustee. He was a dairy farmer and ran Ward’s Dairy for 50+ years, was a member of GA Farm Bureau and he loved his cows. He loved the Lord with all his heart and it showed in every way. He also loved his church, fishing, gardening and dearly loved his family. He is preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter: Phyllis Ward; First Wife and mother of his children: Shelby Holland Ward; Grandchild: Curtis Peterson, Jr.; Brothers: Royce Ward, Russell Ward and Clifton Ward; Sister-In-Law: Anita Ward; Brothers-In-Law: Brannen Wiggins and Bob Norris.

Survivors: Wife: Susie Dixon Ward of Sylvania; Daughter: Hope Ward of Inman, SC and her daughter, Sophia Fofana; Son: Curtis Peterson of Augusta, GA and his children, Christopher Peterson, Shelby Peterson and Summer Peterson; Step-Sons: Jeff & Pam Mallard and their daughter, Samantha Mallard, Vic & Jenny Mallard and their children, Caleb Mallard and Noah Mallard and Phillip & Monica Mallard and their children, Nick Mallard and Jared Mallard, all of Girard, GA and Joe & Laurie Mallard of Sylvania and their children, Ridge, Jaylee and Kodie Mallard; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Barbara W. Wiggins of Goose Creek, SC, Martha W. Norris of Lenoir City, TN, Donna W. & Lloyd Wiggins of Cantonment, FL and Karen W. & Earl Hulet of Twin Falls, ID; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Wallace and Allie Ward of Statesboro, GA, David Ward of Greenville, SC, Wade H. Visitation: Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Warren Devevo officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
