Rocky Ford – Jimmy Edward Dailey, Sr., age 62, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014. He was born in Millen, GA to the late Marion Folks & Rosa Mae Rabitsch Dailey, was retired from Torrington Co. where he worked as a machinist and a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church. He graduated from Jenkins Co. High in 1970, was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of the DDCC Coffee Club of Rocky Ford. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, wonderful father and grandfather and he coached baseball and softball teams for many years. He was preceded in death by his Son: Byron Keith Dailey; Brothers: Bernard Dailey, Charles Dailey and Byron Dailey.
Survivors: His Wife: Susan Rahn Dailey of Rocky Ford; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Amy M. & Jericho Flanders of Scarboro, GA; Son & Daughter-In-Law: Jimmy E., Jr. & Amy D. Dailey of Fitzgerald, GA; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Beatrice D. & James Lowe of Statesboro, GA, Mary D. & Jimmie Smith of Brooklet, GA and Gail D. & Donald NeSmith of Scarboro, GA; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Bobby & Christine Dailey of Millen, GA; Grandchildren: Lane Flanders of Sylvania, Ranson Flanders and Jaylee Flanders, both of Scarboro, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, February 02, 2014 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Monday, February 03, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Smith, Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Al Rahn officiating. Burial following at Rocky Ford Cemetery.
