Gladys Jeanette Ross Parker

Sylvania – Gladys Jeanette Ross Parker, age 83, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Pike County, Ga. to Leavy Edward and Fannie Maude Nelson Ross. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. Preceeded in death by her husband Ashley James Parker.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-Law: Sandra Kaye and Phil Young of Augusta, Ga.; Sons and Daughters-in-law: James Edward and Pamela Parker of Comer, Ga., and Kenneth Ashley and Dawn Parker; Sisters and Brother-in-laws: Frances and Donald McLaughin of Tyrone, Ga., Kathryn Rogers of Thomaston, Ga., Elsie Allison of Barnesville, Ga., Betsy Bankston of Barnesville, Ga., Joyce Berry of Atlanta, Ga., and Patricia and Wayne Dunn of Marietta, Ga.; 10 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Odyssey Hospice.

Visitation: Thursday February 10, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Friday February 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
