Edna D. Durden Ellison

Sylvania – Edna Durden Ellison, age 80, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Optim Medical Center in Sylvania under Ogeechee Area Hospice’s care. She was born in Winston Salem, NC, was a homemaker and a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Robert L. (Bob) Ellison; Parents: William Leon & Jewel Lawson Durden.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-Law: Emily & David Flanders of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-in-Law: Gregg & Toni R. Ellison of Sylvania; 6 Grandchildren: Ben & Kristin W. Ellison of Waynesboro, Robert Ellison (Marah Doyle), Joel Ellison, Andy & Mikki B. Saxon, Clint Cowart (Kelly Chick) and Allison Flanders, all of Sylvania. 3 Great-Grandsons: Gentry Saxon and Walker Saxon of Sylvania and West Ellison of Waynesboro, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Tidwell officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Clay Durden, Ben Ellison, Robert Ellison, Joel Ellison, Andy Saxon, Clint Cowart and Allison Flanders. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Screven County Shrine Club and the Ladies Auxillary, Alecia Evans, Lefonza Carter and Wardell Gardner.
