Sylvania – Anita Stewart Thompson, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Optim Medical Center in Sylvania. She was born in Screven County, GA, was a homemaker and was a volunteer at Syl-View Health Care Center in Sylvania for over 30 years. She was a member of McBride United Methodist Church and she attended Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Her Husband: Robbie Earl Thompson; Parents: Carson Albert Stewart and Ruby Minchey Stewart Sheley; Sister: Marilyn S. Lynch; Brothers: Walter Stewart, Carson Stewart and Lewis Sheley, Sr.
Survivors: Son: Craig S. Thompson of Sylvania; Sister: Martha S. Parker of Sylvania; Grandson & Granddaughter-In-Law: Stewart & Jill B. Thompson of Sylvania; Great-Grandchildren: Chase Thompson, Drake Thompson and Slate Thompson, all of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Monday, January 12, 2015 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. David Wheeler, Rev. Travis Smith and Rev. Chad Wall officiating. Burial at McBride United Methodist Church Cemetery.
