William Edwin Wood

William is survived by his daughter Jennifer Smith; his sons Nathan Wood (Candy) and Casey Wood (Amanda); his sisters Eunell Thompson (Jimmy) and Sandra Allen (Clarence); his grandchildren Nathan Wade Smith, Brianna Gray (Nate), Ashleigh Wood, Blake Wood, Cody McAlpin, and Colby Morgan, his great grandchildren Haley Smith, Jackson Smith, Jasper Gray, and Asher Gray and his numerous Nieces and Nephews.

William was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Ingram Wood; his father Ewel Wood and his mother Mary Wood; his sister Karen Smith, Maureen Leggett and Lynda Wood; his grandson Andrew Kane Smith.

A visitation for William will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM. William will be laid to rest in Hollins Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Rev. Mike Ray and Rev. Mike Kiser.

Serving as pallbearers are Blake Wood, Nate Gray, Wade Smith, Ryan Thompson, Chris Allen, and Leonard Leggett. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jesse Samples, George Aaron, Mylon Dailey and Elliott Smith.
