Funeral service for Ronald E. (Ronnie) "LuLu" Wilson, age 73 of Sylacauga will be Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Rev. Donald Grice, Rev. Donnie Blackmon and Rev. Mark Deason officiating. Burial will follow at Harpersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 at the funeral home.
Bro. Ronnie passed from this life to the feet of his Jesus on Friday, April 28, 2023.
He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was born September 9, 1949 to Arlin and Jacqueline Gill Wilson. Ronnie graduated from B.B. Comer High and married the love of his life and soul mate in 1968. He was a wonderful Christian man who loved his Lord, family and friends. He was humble, caring, giving and selfless. Ronnie had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Bro. Ronnie worked in maintenance for 38 years before he became disabled in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lena Wilson, grandson, Dylan Slade Pickens, God daughter, Kelly Brewer, God grandson, Nate Brewer, son-in-law, Brian Pickens (Tina), grandson, Ryan, furbabies, Scooter, Cali, Aby and Precious, brother, Eric Wilson (Lisa), God sister, Diane Catchings, nephews, Mike Wilson (Amy), Tim Wilson, Jim Wilson (Chelsey), nieces, Erica Roberts (Rusty), Rachel Wilson, Stephanie Murphy (Jimmy), God niece, Laura Weathers (BJ), God niece, Wendy Bearden (Jason), several great nieces and nephews, special angels, Peggy and Stanley Hudgins, Doris and Ken Moore, Brenda and Eddie Price.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Wilson, daughter, Robbie Lynn Pickens, grandson, Gabriel Ricks and his best friend, Larry Weathers.
Pallbearers are Nate Brewer, Brian Pickens, Jason Bearden, Adam Pickens, Kenny Robinson and Bear.
