Sycamore, AL - Funeral service for Joseph Lee Holmes, 93, will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Keith Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. Holmes died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Opehelia Maxine Holmes, parents, Artemus and Lilly Bell Holmes, and brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his two sons, Danny (Cheryl) Holmes of Sylacauga, Scotty (Robin) Holmes of Childersburg; three grandchildren, Kevin Holmes (Amy Garrett) of Michigan, Keri Yother (John Frank) of Birmingham, Logan Holmes of Birmingham; three great-grandchildren, Anna Clair Yother, Elie Yother, and Daniel Yother.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
