Jeffrey Scott Decker

Jeffrey Scott Decker, age 61, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born March 30, 1961 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Decker; and his brother, Don E. Decker, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Ann Decker; his father, Don E. Decker; his brother, Andy (Lisa) Decker; his step-daughter, Whitney (Ryan) Chiaramonte; and his grandchildren, Gavin, Aria and Piper Chiaramonte.

Known to his family and many friends as “Scott”, he grew up in Fairfield, Alabama. Scott played football and baseball in Youth League and at Fairfield High School. He enjoyed playing softball and watching Alabama football.

Scott enjoyed greeting and helping customers at Pierce Taber/Benjamin Moore paint store in Homewood, Alabama, where he later became the owner.

Scott was a kind spirit with a big heart, funny, loving and generous. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being around his grandchildren -- they held a special place in his heart. He will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service for Scott will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga.
