Jane Payton McGrady

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Jane Payton McGrady, 78, will be Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Dr. Danny Courson and Rev. John Limbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Springs Cemetery in Talladega Springs, AL.

Mrs. McGrady died Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Velma Payton, brother, Lawrence Payton, and husband, Roger Dale McGrady. She enjoyed traveling the country on family trips, especially with lifelong friends, Fred and Barbara Kornegay. Mrs. McGrady loved serving the students of Fayetteville School for 21 years where she was known to read the book series "The Little House on the Prairie" to all her students each school year. She was a member of Odena Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin McGrady (Johanna), Kerry McGrady; two daughters, Karen Culver (Jerry), Katrina McGrady; and 7 grandchildren, Mathew McGrady, Samuel McGrady, Avery McGrady, Timothy McGrady, Alise McGrady, Julianne McGrady and Edwin McGrady.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Payton, Lane Payton, Chris Payton, Paul Payton, Lawson Payton and Richard Sasser.
