Sylacauga, AL. - James Vander Johnson, age 52, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. James was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Barbara Johnson and Henry Vander Johnson.

James is survived by his son, James Cody Johnson; daughter, Brittany Gregory; mother, Barbara Johnson; brother, Stephen Johnson; sister, Patricia Taylor; brother, Randy Johnson; children, Selina Farmer, Matthew Thorton, Kasey; grandchildren, Natalynn Kate Johnson, Madison Thornton, Braden Thornton, April Gardner, Connor Gardner, Cash Farmer, Natalynn Farmer, Tanner; and great friend, Bro. Don Smith.

James was preceded in death by his father, Henry Vander Johnson.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m with Pastor Jeff Harris officiating.

James will be laid to rest in Forestlawn Gardens, 730 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207.
