Master Jackson Joseph Thomas age five, passed peacefully from the arms of his parents into the arms of Jesus on February 17, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jackson's sweet laugh and beautiful smile brought joy and happiness to everyone he met. Jackson is the cherished son of Gregg and Tracey Thomas of Sylacauga. He is survived by his big brother, Taylor Thomas, who was his protector and best friend. Jackson's loving grandparents are Warren (Milton) Thomas ( "Granddaddy") of Winterboro,Jan Crumpton (" Nano") of Sylacauga, and Great Grandfather, Joe Grimes ("Pawpaw ") of Sylacauga. Grandparents waiting for him in Heaven are Reba Thomas ("Mawmaw"), Jim Crumpton ("Pawpaw C"), and Great Grand-parents, Bobbie Grimes ("Nanny") and Louise Crumpton ("Mawmaw"). He was blessed to have a large, loving family, including, Aunt Lynne Holmes (Allen), Uncle Jim Crumpton (Season), Uncle Barry Thomas (Abbie), and adoring cousins, Gage, Ashlyn and Madison Holmes,Kayla, Austin, and Mallory Grace Thomas, and Abbagail Crumpton. Jackson also had many dear friends who loved his as though he was theirs, including special family friends Tangie and Brian Collins, and Sarah, Taylor,and Chandler Collins. Pallbearers are Brian Collins, James Crumpton, Barry Thomas, and Kendall Walker. Jackson touched many people during his short time here on earth and was a gift to his family and friends. He had a contagious personality and will be greatly missed. Visitation for Jack and Jill will be at Curtis and Son North on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 form 5:30-8PM. Funeral service will be held at Sycamore Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
