Herb and I worked  at TVA and played together for several years. It really took me by surprise at his death. We had talked shortly before his death about going fishing. Reflecting back I now realize he was saying good bye. What a good friend that I will sincerely miss.

I also worked with Herb at TVA. We were fellow Florida Gators in a sea of Tennessee Vols!  Herb was a good man, and I know there a lot of people who will miss his wit and wisdom. I'm sorry for your loss.

I worked with your dad at TVA, and I will just echo what Tom said. Herb was a good person and a better friend. So sorry for your loss.

Herbie, my name is Tom Swor. I worked with Herb at TVA in Knoxville. He and I became  good friends as well.  He spoke of you very often.  I talked to Herb on February 21, and we discussed a possible fishing trip to your place.
I am extremely sad to learn of his passing.  He was a very good man and a good boss. I'd like to hear back from you some time.  Herb told me that you were a chemical engineer. My older son Charlie is a chemistry professor at Young Harris college in Georgia. 
I won't take up any more of your time; I just wanted to express my thoughts about your dad. A very good man!!!
