Edward is survived by his wife, Suzie Wimmer Gardner; his sister Patricia Delee (Ellis); his children Teresa Fisher (Chris), Lonnie "BoBo" Gardner (Mary Beth), Chris Gardner (Carrie), Matt Gardner (Tesla), and Noah Wimmer, his 10 Grandchildren and his 2 Great Grandchildren.
Edward was preceded in death by his father Olan Gardner and his mother Ellen Gardner; his sister Mary Jean Honeycutt.
A visitation for Edward will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Edward will be laid to rest in Tallasahatchie Cemetery, Sylacauga, AL.
Edward loved his family. He was a working person that loved his jobs. He is a retired fire chief at Munford, Retired Security Guard at Talladega SuperSpeedway and his favorite was undercover security at Walmart in Chelsea, and he loved every second of it.
