He is survived by Linda Hardy, his wife of 48 years & the love of his life for well over 50 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Jordan Morton (John), his brother Sidney Hardy (Pam), his brother Dale Hardy, his sister Beth Williams (Terry) as well as many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hardy & his mother, Ruth Hardy.
A visitation for Donald will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga. Donald will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. All services will officiated by Rev. Charles Kelly, Bro. Mike Kiser, and Dr. Rick Patrick.
Serving as pallbearers are Rick Redmond, Sid Tankersley, Larry Baker, Dick Wright, Wayne Hall and Phil Machen.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donald's memory may be made to Feral Dogs of Avondale.
Don was a contractor who left a legacy defined not only by his buildings, but through the people who would live or work in them. Everyone was a friend who deserved the very best. He was generous with his time, talents, and sense of humor. To know him was a pure joy. He was a loving husband and father with a rock solid faith in the goodness of his Lord & Savior.
He laughed often, loved his family deeply, & strived to honor the Lord in all that he did.
