She is survived by Lester Bryant, her husband of 54 years. She is also survived by her sons, Cass (Nicki) Bryant and Chad Bryant, her sisters Barbara (Doug) Murphree and Brenda (Ernie) Teaford, grandchildren Cade, Ches, Casen, Canon and RileeReed Bryant, as well as many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her father James R. Bates and mother Clemmie Thomaston and her brother Rodney Bates.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Curtis and Son Funeral Home in Sylacauga and will continue with a graveside service immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Bonnie retired from Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union after serving members from Talladega and the surrounding counties for over 40 years. She then joined Wind Creek State Park as a volunteer camp host where she welcomed visitors for the last 6 years. Bonnie was dedicated and compassionate, devoting over 46 years of her life serving surrounding communities with unwavering commitment and kindness. She had a natural ability to connect with others.
Bonnie’s warm smile and generous spirit could be felt by all that knew her including her beloved B.B. Comer Class of ‘69. Family and friends cherished time spent with her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and infectious enthusiasm that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
