Billy Wayne Sims of Alexander City passed away suddenly on Friday, February 25, 2022. Mr. Sims was born on December 18, 1996, in Sylacauga and is a graduate of Fayetteville High School. Mr. Sims is a previous long-time employee of IKO and was currently an area manager for Teph Seal Auto Appearance.
He is survived by the love of his life Kate Smith Sims of Alexander City; Momma and Daddy, David and Pamela Connell Sims, Brother, David (DJ) Sims, Jr., (Ashlyn), Sister, Brittanie Sims (Jacob Bassett), niece Kenleigh Bassett, In-Laws, Christina Smith & Kelly McKenzie, Kevin Smith & Keith Warren; and brother-in-law Jackson Smith. He is also survived by his grandmother, Laurrine Armstrong as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special brothers.
Billy was everyone’s friend and would light up a room with his big blue eyes and smile. Billy loved his beautiful wife Kate and their fur babies which they loved taking to Wind Creek State Park to play in Lake Martin with family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the funeral will be Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. all at Curtis & Sons Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Hwy., Sylacauga, Alabama 35150. Burial will follow at Shelvin Rock Baptist Church.
