Sylacauga, AL. - Billy Jack "Rabbit" Harris, age 65, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Jack is survived by his wife, Allen LaFaye Harris; brothers and sisters, George "Brad" Harris III (Roxanne), James Harris (Debbie), Tracy Harris (Donna), John Harris (Stella), Terry Harris, Robert Harris, Sandra Cleveland, Anita Curtis (Rodger) and Laquita Lemoine (Mark); children, Billy Jack "BJ" Harris II, Jada McDonald (Timmy), Tamisha Johns; grandchildren, Kade "Gator" McDonald, Brodey "Broman" McDonald, Audra Bailey, Lily "Lily Pad" McDonald, Dustin "Bugman" Sumners, Courtney "Country" Edwards, Tristan "Trissy Tate" Sumners, Mason "Mason Jar" Harris; and great-grandchildren, Major Hurt, Riley "Blair" Sumners, Ramey "Brett" Sumners and Kamdyn Ray.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, George W. Harris Jr. "Little Big Man"; mother, Margaret L. Kelley; and brother-in-law, Melvin Cleveland.
Jack "Rabbit" was a great son, father, brother, pawpaw, husband, and friend. Jack spent his early years on Thomas Hill running around with his many brother, sisters, cousins, and friends. It is there he met his beautiful wife of forty-one years.
Jack devoted a time in his life serving in the National Guard, Troop E31 Calvary, there he made friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
The only thing Jack loved more than Auburn football was being a pawpaw. He loved his grand and great grand babies deeply and cherished every minute he got to spend with them.
Jack spent his life on earth providing for and loving his wife, children, and all the grandchildren. His quick wit, funny jokes, silly nicknames and big heart will be truly missed.
