Odenville, AL - A graveside service for Belinda Joyce Clifton Abney, 51, will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Weogufka Family Worship Center Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating.
Ms. Abney went to be with the Lord on April 20th, 2020. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Clifton, infant son Christian L. Abney, infant brother Wayne Clifton, grandparents Morgan and Lula Anthony, Luther Clifton and Nolan and Mary McGrady, mother-n-law Shirley Abney and brother-in-law David Moore.
She is survived by three children, Braxton Abney, Chloe Abney, Sawyer Abney; mother, Joyce Clifton; two sisters, Kathy (Alan) Calloway, Connie Moore; ex-husband and friend, Timothy Abney; three nephews, Troy Calloway, Hunter Calloway, Landon Moore; and niece, Kaylee Moore.
Belinda was a graduate of Weogufka High School Class of 1987, Central Al. Community College in Alex City and the University of Montevallo where she earned her degree in Secondary Education. During her career of over 20 years, she taught mathematics at two middle schools, Banks Middle School where she also served as cheer coach and also Moody Middle School.
She is best known for her bubbly outgoing personality, being the life of the party and for her beautiful smile. She loved her family, friends and her students. She will be remembered and celebrated for all the joy and laughter she brought to all who knew her and will be missed by her family every day until we are together again.
Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Abney, Tim Abney, Troy Calloway, Hunter Calloway, Alan Calloway and Landon Moore.
