I just seen this post. I was wondering if this is the Patsy Pate that went to the Quarry School so many years ago. I moved here from Columbus Ga. and went to that school one year. I believe I remember her from that school.

My name is Caron Blanchard Magouyrk. Ms Murphy was first known to me through my Mother, Ruth Blanchard who worked as a Nursing Assistant ( they were called back then ) but also when  I had my baby very young in 1976, “Patsy” as she insisted I call her, was the Nurse Supervisor the night. She assisted with the birth of my beautiful daughter. I was 14 years old and she made it so much better for me as family wasn’t allowed in the L&D back then. 
Later, I met Terry, as I enrolled in LPN School.
I went on to become an RN largely because Patsy was a Mentor to me. I can still see her “Swish” down those hallowed halls with her crisp White dress and hat and shoes, carrying staffing papers for the “house” as she studied in how to staff the day shift. Long hours she worked. And never ask any of her staff to do anything she herself wouldn’t do. She was “friend” to my Mother, and “Mentor” to me.
I’ve not seen Patsy in years. I travel nursed this country as a trauma nurse before returning home to Sylacauga. But I never crossed paths with the Strong One if a kind “Patsy Murphy”. I would know her laugh anywhere.
Prayers for Peace and Comfort to family and friends.
I believe we are judged by works when we get to Heaven. That means Patsy will certainly be recognized for the service of caring for all many people she cared for as one of the most skilled nurses I ever knew!
I am Blessed  to have had my life influenced by Ms Patsy Murphy.

Sending prayers for Patsy's day. She was a wonderful person and I enjoyed with her. I know sis rejoicing in Heaven.

I just found out Patsy had passed away. We grew up together  if she wasn't  at my house I was at hers. Although  we hadn't  seen each other in years ,I thought about her often. My prayers are with the family.       Joan
