Sylacauga, AL. - Algalene S McClendon, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Algalene is survived by her daughters, Kara M. Melton (Scott) and Dana M. Vansword (Andre'); grandchildren, Katherine Grace Vansword, Mason Lee Vansword (Lizzie); and great-grandchild, Grey Vansword.
A memorial service for Algalene will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Co. Rd. 207, Alpine, Alabama 35014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in honor of Algalene McClendon be sent to the trust of Trinity Episcopal Church in Alpine for the UAB Cancer Research Fund.
