Ms. Adelaide Houser Mayfield

Ms. Adelaide Houser Mayfield, age 78, of Sylacauga passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. John Vogel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.Ms. Mayfield is survived by four children; Cindy Young (Cliff) of Sylacauga, Susan Alexander (Roger) of Sylacauga, Keith Mayfield (Donna) of Childersburg and Rusty Mayfield (Robin) of Sylacauga; grandchildren; Raegan Letcher, Joshua Letcher, Kevin Alexander, Tai Fossett, Maggie Mayfield, Randale Littles, and Shelby Mayfield; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Ms. Mayfield was preceded in death by her husband Maxwell "Mack" Mayfield. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and retired from B.B. Comer as a bus driver with 34 years of service.Pallbearers will be Daniel Lucas, Micah Fields, Colby Letcher, Kevin Alexander, Shelby Mayfield and Joshua Letcher.
