William Thomas Oleson aka Tommy Oleson passed away February 4th 2020. He is now in heaven with his other loved ones and God the father. Born in Portland Maine USA to 2 proud parents, John C Oleson and Nannette (Annie) Oleson on November 13th 1952. The 3rd of 9 children. Tommy was an exceptional great brother, husband, father, grandfather, godfather and uncle He worked a great number of jobs, from meat companies to clerks, day care, electronic assembler, and at Baddecks Alder Wood Senior home as an adult care worker. He preferred working the Alzheimer’s unit, he had a gentle caring way with patients that other workers recognized.
He had a great personality and sense of humour, he laughingly once said, he aspired to be the Old Crazy Guy that people liked and kids found funny. He was naturally bright, intelligent and funny with a sharp Witt and quick comebacks. As a young boy, mischievous, as an adult, mischievous, and always a kid at heart. He was exceptionally generous loving and caring person. Faith: Catholic, and a super Patriots fan.
Raised in South Boston, MA. He moved to Wagmatcook, N.S. in 1998 with his mother, and fiancé Susan whom he married in Wagmatcook in 1998 she became Susan Oleson. Later widowed, he met his other love Sophie Pierro.

He is survived by siblings: Joanne Dunn, John C. Oleson Jr., Julie Duling, Janie Oleson, Theresa Podolski and Joseph Oleson.
Children: Chris Afienko, Scott and Melissa Danforth. Many nieces,nephews, and grand children.
Predeceased by siblings Wanda Oleson and Jeannie Oleson and wife Susan Danforth.
Tommy was also loved by his step grandchildren who called him ‘Papa” Macy, Payton, Adrian Jij, and Julius. He is also survived and will be missed by step children on Sophie’s side, Angela (Blair), Freeman (Melissa), Stephanie (Steve) and Adrian(Michelle).
Visitation will take place on Sunday February 9th, 2020 after 3pm, at the Elder Center in Wagmatcook. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 11th at 11am at Queen of the World Parish with Father Angus MacDougall officiating. Salite to follow at the Cultural Center.
