Stephen MacKenzie Keough

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen MacKenzie Keough. Stephen passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 23, 2013. Stephen lost a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Stephen accomplished many things in his short life. He was an outstanding student, received Chief Scout Award and had obtained his Journeyman Electrician papers while working in Alberta for the past 10 years.

Stephen is survived by his parents Theresa MacKenzie and Fred (Cheryl) Keough; sister, Danielle (Aaron Brown), Halifax; step-brother, Mark MacLeod, Calgary, AL; maternal, grandmother, Bernice (Tom) MacDonald; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Steve MacKenzie and Paternal Grandparents, Maurice Keough and Edith (Wilfred) Hawco.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 2–4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10a.m. on Wed, March 27 at Sacred Heart Church, Sydney. Rev Anthony O’Conner will officiate. Interment in resurrection cemetery.
