It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sherry Beaulieu (50) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After months of battling renal failure, she lost the battle and passed away in the early hours of December 20th, 2023 in the palliative care unit of the Sydney hospital (Nova Scotia) with her care workers by her side. She was the daughter of David Beaulieu and the late “Deborah” Laurie Keagan (maiden name - Delatinsky). She is predeceased by her mother, Laurie Keagan and stepfather Abbott “Ricky” Keagan. She is survived by her Father Daivd Beaulieu (Shirley) of Winnipeg, Brother - Matthew Keagan (Bryony) of Dartmouth, their children Rosalind, Lilah, Tobias, and Atticus, Sister – Shannon Bunn- Beaulieu of Winnipeg, her children Cheyenne and Ellis, Sister – Ashley Bunn of Winnipeg, her children Trinity, Serenity, Errol, Serena and Kaden, Brother - Wesley Bunn of Winnipeg, his children Wes, Angel and Jasmine, Brother - Nathaniel Bunn of Winnipeg, his son Gage.
Sherry was a long-term resident of what was the Braemar Group home and is now the Breton ability center. She spent nearly 30 years of her life either in the main facility or in one of the many care homes around the city. She was mentally challenged but she never once let that slow her down or stop her from doing whatever she wanted. She loved doing crafts and going for outings with any of her many amazing care workers. She spent her days doing what she loved surrounded by people who loved her. She had such a kind soul and warming smile and will be missed by many. I would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the Leeside location, for taking such good care of sherry over the years, you gave her such amazing memories and provided a life she wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else.
We would like to invite any friends and family to join us in celebrating the life of Sherry. There will be a visitation on January 9th from 1pm-2pm then a service following, from 2pm-3pm. There will be finger food and drinks available during the visitation.
Anyone wishing to make donations can do so directly to the family, any funds donated will be going towards burying sherry with her mother in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. In leu of a donation, Flowers can be sent directly to the funeral home for the service.
