Patricia Eileen Simon

It is with broken hearts that the family of Patricia Eileen Simon announce the loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born on August 6, 1958 to the late Levi and Helena (Dennis) Joe of Eskasoni. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband James, her beloved daughters Elena and Tricia (Jeremy) as well as precious grandchildren Zayrn, James, Kaylena, Katie Belle, Noel, Matthew and numerous children and grandkids that she has adopted into her heart. She has also left behind her brothers Paul, Vincent (Louise), John "JJ", Troy (Glo) and Glen, sisters Rose, Veronica (Frank) and Eleanor (Charlie), brother-in-law Stephen Christmas, in laws Noel, Steve, Louie and Viney and 14 godchildren; also numerous nephews and nieces

Pat was devoted to her family and her heart was always open to anyone who needed a loving hand. Pat loved playing bingo, traveling and camping. She was also a music lover and enjoyed playing her guitar and singing along to her favorite songs. Most members of the Mi'kmaq community would know and appreciate Pat's skills as a traditional basket maker and teacher.

Besides her parents, Pat was also predeceased by her daughter Katie Belle, brothers Joseph and Noel, sisters Theresa, Catherine, Mary Tina and Mary Isabelle and her best friends Betty and Belinda.

Visitation will begin at 7pm on Thursday, April 11 at the Gabriel Centre. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, April 13 at Holy Family Church, 50 Gabriel Street, Eskasoni. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.twcurry.com.
